What I learned reading the original Grimm’s Fairy Tales

I’m a fan of the television show “Grimm” so I wanted to read some of the original source material.  Here’s what I learned:

  1. The end justifies the means.
  2. Life is cheap.
  3. Money and power can buy happiness
  4. Women are property.
  5. Lying is okay if you end up with what you want.
  6. Crime pays.
  7. Beautiful people are usually good, and the ugly are always evil.

So why are these stories considered good for children?
