Can we please kick Texas out of the U.S? Is it something in the water that makes them stupid? Does the hot sun cook their brains? Or is it just that Texans are batshit insane?

No we cannot kick Texas out of the U.S. as tempting as that is. I don’t remember who it was but a lecturer was asked about just kicking the South out of the Union. The reply was no, we cannot do that because that would mean leaving people like E.O. Wilson behind.
I know what you mean though. It would be easier. We’re up against a lot of stupid in TX. Take for example this story.

They’re actually creating 3 lines at the TX state capital. #1 for the average visitor/tourist where you have to stand in line, get searched, walk through a metal detector, etc. #2 a shorter line for the legislators and staff where you walk through the metal detectors, get searched, etc. #3 for people with concealed carry permits where they WAVE YOU THROUGH!!!
That is Weapons of Mass Destruction Stupid but that’s TX.
Still, we can’t let them go. Some of them may just actually have something to contribute.
Hey, I’m a Texan, and I….
Yeah, I wonder about all that too.
